About Mark Hausman

Mark Hausman has been passionate about horses since early childhood in South Texas, where he first began working on ranches and developing a deep respect for the horse–human partnership. That early passion grew into decades of hands-on experience working with horses and riders across a wide range of disciplines.

Known for his ability to read horses and clearly translate what they need from their riders, Mark focuses on developing true communication, focus, and trust between horse and human. His approach helps riders build willing partnerships rather than relying on force or rigid formulas.

Students value Mark’s practical, insightful teaching style and his ability to explain complex horsemanship concepts in ways that immediately make sense. His clinics are known for being both highly educational and engaging—often sprinkled with humor that keeps riders relaxed and receptive while they learn.

Today, based in Waxhaw, North Carolina, Mark travels throughout the country teaching clinics and helping riders at all levels refine their communication and connection with their horses.
